  Mixed emotions about this place. Dr. Tuason is FABULOUS, so my decision to post five stars is because I'm focused on her, although a lot of the techs are also quite fabulous (Amy comes to mind). It's a 24-hour emergency vet that takes walk-ins. That said, if it's at all possible for your pet to wait, then I strongly recommend that you make an appointment. You'll be much more comfortable waiting at home. Although if it's not possible to wait, I have seen pets go from owner's hands to front-desk hands to the emergency room immediately upon their walking in the door. (That said, I've also seen a pet die in the waiting room, although by all appearances, the dog wasn't injured, just old.) (Our dogs are getting older too; we're here a lot.)

  Our 15 year old family dog became seriously ill this last weekend. We took him to St. Francis for care and they were so kind, helpful, and informative. Because of how ill our pup was, we had to bring him back several times and each time we were met with the same helpful and compassionate service. Last night we had to make the heartbreaking decision to say goodbye to our furry family member. And once again, the staff and veterinarian were absolutely lovely and so compassionate. My husband and I can't say thank you enough to everyone at St. Francis for how amazingly well we and our sweet boy were treated throughout this painful process. Your facility is a gem.
